Monte`s Family Restaurant in Harrison

My gf used to work here and always raves about it ,I went here with her one day and it was good not as good as she had exclaimed but still a solid place to get a good meal ( maybe i shouldnt let her build up my expectations like that ) lol

Great Italian food at very reasonable prices and your soup and salad are included.

Overall not a bad place to eat. Value is pretty good, service is good, but the quality and cleanliness is not. No matching cups, paper towel in bread basket and under plates. Food tastes good, but is lie in quality itself. Bread tasted a little old but was pretty good. Fed 2 adults for under $20: 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and bread basket. Not sure I will be back for a while unless a few other places go out of business.

Amazing pizza! Marinara sauce was some of the best I've ever had at a pizza place and they didn't normally do cheese sticks but put cheese on their bread sticks for us also added bacon as a topping which isn't normal either for them. Will get pizza here every time I'm in town!♥️♥️♥️ Just wish you guys were in GR where were from. Best meal we had so far here

Service was sufficient and very friendly. Food was yummy, portions were more than adequate without being over the top. Hours were great, open late. Prices were reasonable. Selection was ok but it was a lot of sandwiches of one sort or another. Overall, we would go back again.

It's a throwback to the 70s Italian restaurant.

Monte's is a great place to dine. Tucked away in little Harrison, Michigan. This eatery does Italian right and for the right price. The decor is a bit dated, but they make up for that with outstanding service and delectable tastes. Will go again and again. Also, they are kid friendly. A nice place to take the family without the worries of having disgusted patrons looking down there noses at your children.

Been a regular place for Italian for us when we're at the cottage. Pizza favorite with our grandkids I like their lasagna and wife gets eggplant parmesan.Italian soups are very good.

Our favorite place when visiting the cottage. The pizza is amazing. Subs and sandwiches are great too. Pretty much everything is good here. Laid back, cozy atmosphere like you're having dinner at an old friends house.

Not to good this visit. Bread was hard, salad seemed older and they poured to much dressing on it. My mistake usually get it on the side. Ordered the eggplant Parmesan. Dark and mushy and the cheese was thick and hard to bite through. My side on spiral noodles with garlic and oil was pretty dry. I don't know what went wrong in the kitchen. Chicken soup was yummy though.

Terrible food. First time here with a group of 6. Barely anyone in there and our food took 1 hour and we ordered battered fish and burgers. Fries were burnt, was told the kids cod cake with 2 pieces and received 1, and the perch was the worst I've had. The kids meals came with ice cream which was clearly old because it was slimy..... Never going back!

1st time trying Montes other than pizza. We loved it!!! We did the spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken parm and a cannolli. The spaghetti was terrific. The sauce was awesome. Both kids loved it as well. And they're picky little beasts. Wife ordered the chicken parm, said it was delicious as well. Today this became our go-to spot when we are up here vacationing.

Love the food and amazing service

Mediocre at best. The place is quaint and small and perfect if the service was friendly but it was not. The food was OK. Very bready club sandwich and tasteless otherwise. The bathroom was out of paper and I would have told the staff but they didn't look like they care or even want to be there so I didn't bother.

Food was great. Grilled sandwich amd soup was amazing. Bread for sandwich was a little too thick.

The prices are a little up there but for all the food you get, it's worth it! They bring you out a bread basket, soup, and salad before the main dish, and it all tastes great. I would definitely say it's like having a little Olive Garden in Harrison. This is my favorite place to eat in this town now! 🖒🖒

The chicken noodle soup was good that we got with our meals, but the pork chop my husband got was really dry and overcooked. The Alfredo sauce for my meal tasted like it came from a can and was not good. It was a funky cloudy liquid unlike any Alfredo sauce I have ever had. As a part of the bread basket that came with our meals we got these VERY hard bread sticks. More stick than bread.

It is so good never had a bad meal. Why more then I can eat but makes good leftovers thank you to the cook and the service. Go in and check it out

The family is obviously not involved in the day to day operations anymore. Service is subpar. We had to ask for bread. The food was not what it used to be. The staff was distracted and unfriendly.

Great little restaurant, we stopped in on a trip further up north and we're very happy with it. The waitress was excellent, and very friendly

Best eggplant parmesan I have ever had. Over 60 miles from home, but come here a few times a year just for that dish.

Our 3rd visit ever was Tuesday this week. Was not at all as as anticipated. Wife ordered special chicken Alfredo ($11.00). Quite slow from kitchen. Salad had rotten & discolored lettuce, cup of chicken soup was barely warm, the Alfredo (all of it) went in trash went we got home. My Steak sub was fair would not try again. Took a loaf of your white bread home which was not fresh. All this (meal only) with 2 cokes $28.00. Bread $5.00. Way too pricey.

Service was good! But my salad was un eatable!!!! Brown and old!! The manicotti was good the sauce is way too sweet.

Food was great but the place needs to be spruced up and service better. Dirty tables everywhere.

My husband and I have been to Monte's a few times and we brought family this time as they came up from Lapeer. Anyhow, the food and service was great, enough for an army for sure! Our family were pleasantly pleased.

Excellent food! Excellent service! We suggest everyone try this hometown restaurant. And be sure to take home some canoli for later!

Veal park was on point. Was kind of chilly in the restaurant.

Great food. Great staff. Wish they would make the environment a bit more Italian, like play Italian music, rather than play rock and roll.
